I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma just 2 weeks after learning I was pregnant with my fourth child. I was able to have chemotherapy while I was pregnant, deliver a healthy baby and eventually graduate from Nursing School. Class of December 2011! I am now 13 years in remission and my little girl Gabbi is 13 old. This blog tells our story.

I passed!
I'm now officially an RN. I passed the boards. I am officially RN, BSN. I'm pretty proud of my accomplishments. I've come a long way to get here. I finally decided to go back to school after already having a family. It was hard, but I did it. I then got sick and pregnant again. I took a little time off but went right back to it and this time with four kids! It hasn't been easy but yesterday the result of all my efforts came to me in the form of one simple word: PASS. :)
Congratulations!!!

ReplyDeleteancer is a terrible disease, and this is even worse when it happens to a child. Childhood cancer is curable, if it’s found in a initial period, but many times adults do not recognize signs of cancer and they associate it to common diseases. Children react differently than adults when the cancer is active and this makes its detection almost impossible.
