I have done SO much Psychology today that I think my head will literally burst. Trying to explain Psychoanalytic Theories and reading about Freud, Erickson and other theories is enough to honestly sorry to say put me to sleep! I think Psychology is so loosely based on people's ideas that I could whip up a book right now that could explain every stage of development as well. OK I am not insulting Psychology just that the ideas are so similar, and so loosely based on someone's opinion. How does one really study things like this? Nothing is definite. I like math. At least I know the answer is right or wrong and there is no way I am going to add when I am supposed to divide. It's clear cut. It's simple. I am just not a fan of Psychology and Freud was a complete lunatic. Seriously. :)
Rant done. Oh and did I mention I got a 108 on my math test? I did. I have another math test on Monday.
I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma just 2 weeks after learning I was pregnant with my fourth child. I was able to have chemotherapy while I was pregnant, deliver a healthy baby and eventually graduate from Nursing School. Class of December 2011! I am now 13 years in remission and my little girl Gabbi is 13 old. This blog tells our story.

I was Tagged!
I was tagged this past week by Glynis Smy. I like to do tags on occasion because I gives me something easy to write about! I liked this tag, so here goes.
Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person or persons who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random and/or revealing things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog
6. Let the tagger know when your post entry is up on your site.
Here is what I am sharing today:
1. Since Glynis said who she was named after, I will too! I was named after the girl my dad thought was the most beautiful girl he went to high school with. Yes, he even asked my mother if it was ok. Supposedly there was a hot chick named Sandi in his class....so here I am. Ha! Kudos to my mother for being ok with that.
2. I come from a very large family. This is something I have told before, but for those who don't know I think it's an interesting fact. My dad was one of 8 boys and 8 girls. That's right. 16 kids. My grandma is an amazing woman.
3. I really am a procrastinator. I tend to put things off for so long until I have to rush around like a mad woman to get it all done. I am late to everything. Except school and eventually work. I would never be late to something like that...but I am frequently late. I know. It's bad and I am working on it!!!
4. I was a tomboy as a child. I loved nothing more than to go fishing, play with bugs, catch snakes and hunt for mushrooms with my dad. (And yes I said hunt for mushrooms)
5. I married my husband when I was 19. I think I have posted this before too but still. I think it's a nice fact to know. I started dating him when I was 17.
6. I read way too much. Not necessarily books (though I do read those) but I mean random facts and stories. Especially medical related. I cannot help it. I think it's why I'll be good at nursing. I absorb this stuff and then spew it out later and realize I seriously read way too much. My hubby got a koozie that says "I don't need the internet, my wife knows everything." Needless to say, it's his favorite koozie.
Ok. Now on to tagging some other blogs. Let's see here. Here are some I enjoy reading.

3. 1 Blog and 2 Sides

One of Those Days
It's been a quiet day really. My girls were outside playing. Gabbi was inside with me just kind of doing our thing. She playing with toys, me kind of staring at my homework, not concentrating on it too well. I out of the corner of my eye watched the Michael Jackson Memorial thing on TV. There was some good singing and some very moving speeches. I have really neglected to say much about the deaths of all the celebrities on this blog, but honestly there has been so much news coverage on it, I really didn't figure I needed to add to it. I sometimes want to talk about something different than what everyone else is talking about.
Other than that my mom just stopped by for a visit. My birth mom. I always feel I have to point that out because I rarely EVER see her. She doesn't live too terribly far but we just don't get the chance to see each other often. I see my step mom all the time. I don't really call her that but for clarification I guess I sometimes have to. Why does it feel rude? I guess she never liked being called a "step" mom. Though it's by no means a bad thing at all! She raised me so therefore disliked the term. I can't say I blame her. I don't like it when someone calls my younger sisters my half sisters, though they are, they feel just as whole to me as any other sister. I am rambling today but I bet there are plenty of people who can relate to what I say! It was nice visiting with my mom. I am now going to go cook some supper for the family. Spaghetti night!
As for the cookie recipe that I mentioned below, I simply stated it was no longer MY secret recipe but rather a secret FAMILY recipe. So....it's still a secret. Ha!

I'll Take It!
I was contemplating whether it was a good thing or a bad thing that my teacher e-mailed this afternoon to say she was ill so the math class was canceled. Now I worked very hard on my project which she STRESSED was due today BY 6 p.m. or we got a 10% grade reduction. So I worked my rear off to make sure it was done. I had to make phone calls and get numbers and since it was the fourth of July weekend it made it harder. I got it done. Now, I don't have to go. Should I be bothered? Naaaaaaaaaaaah! I don't have to go to school!!! :D
Oh but I am NOT happy the teacher is sick. Hope she gets well soon!!
