I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma just 2 weeks after learning I was pregnant with my fourth child. I was able to have chemotherapy while I was pregnant, deliver a healthy baby and eventually graduate from Nursing School. Class of December 2011! I am now 13 years in remission and my little girl Gabbi is 13 old. This blog tells our story.

Sad News Today
My sister in law told me a few weeks ago that her sister was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was given an 87% survival rate according to what I read on her blog post. She came down suddenly ill today and sadly passed away this morning. It's pretty unexpected and I know my sister in law is taking it very hard of course. I'd like to dedicate this post to her sister. I want to just remember her here, though I didn't know her. It's so hard when cancer takes a life. It's so wrong and sudden. She was just 42. I'd also like to just extend my condolences to my sister in law Rachel right here on my blog and want others to feel free to do the same.
How very sad Sandi. I'm so sorry this has happened. Big hug. :)
ReplyDeleteMy gosh that is so sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and your family as well.

Very sad. I have a couple tears and I didn't know her either. Cancer is such a tragic illness. Thoughts and prayers going out her way.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW this is so sad! Do you think Spirit Jump could help by sending her some uplifting supportive cards/gifts? Cancer is HORRIBLE and we need to fight back by supporting not only the fighters and survivors but those left behind and the ones who support those battling! Email me and let me know what you think megse5@netscape.net
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed very sad and she was too young to have lost her life to this disease. My condolences to you, your sister-in-law and the family.
ReplyDeleteOMG! I am so sorry for your loss and your SIL's loss. How awful for such a young life to be taken (yes, 42 is young). I will keep your families in my prayers and hope that you can make some sort of sense of it and get some peace.
