I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma just 2 weeks after learning I was pregnant with my fourth child. I was able to have chemotherapy while I was pregnant, deliver a healthy baby and eventually graduate from Nursing School. Class of December 2011! I am now 13 years in remission and my little girl Gabbi is 13 old. This blog tells our story.

Way Too Cute
My husband's uncle sent this one to me. I thought it was way too adorable to not share. I am heading to the college tomorrow to turn in my essay and application on why I want to attend the college of nursing. Then I'll know by May 1st if I was accepted. I am pretty excited about it. I will be gone all day. When I get back I am heading straight to my daughter's grade school to bring treats for her Valentine's party. I'm guessing I'll be pretty tired when I get back. If I don't get many cards dropped for all you Entrecarders please know that I'll be back at it Saturday!
Good luck with your application! May 1st seems like a long time to wait. *fingers crossed for you*
ReplyDeleteVery cute picture and I love the koozie below!!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWOW. I found your blog by accident this morning - and wish I'd been reading you from the very beginning... What a story! Makes we wish I hadn't just grumbled so much about being pregnant in my last blog update... My husband's mom has been living with her cancer for the last 5 years - such a rollercoaster of a journey... She was meant to come stay with us here in the UK after our daughter's birth for a few weeks, but she's just been booked in for 2 sets of 3 month long chemotherapies. But we'll be home in SOuth Africa for 2 months in July/August at least.
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog - you should get published :)
Good luck with your application. The health industry needs nurses like you.
