Gabriella caught my cold a week ago and it's been an interesting week to say the least. She really has been so healthy since birth and I am so thankful. Mothers worry enough but combine that with the use of chemo drugs during the pregnancy and how much more do you think you would worry whenever she had the sniffles? haha Well honestly I haven't been too bad. I think any studies I have read (and I have read many) of older kids who had the same thing are not showing any problems. The risks I was informed of were maybe some developmental delays. She may be a little behind on the whole pulling up thing and cruising around the furniture but I know it's my fault. I have babied her sooooo bad. I am trying to break that habit. Anyway she had a fever for a couple of days, congestion, stuffed up red watery eyes and just miserable. Last night she finally fell asleep but every so often she'd give a whimper or a cry. I'd run into her room and she'd just be sleeping. She seemed a bit uncomfortable. I wish I knew if it was her throat, ears, tummy??? I have no idea. She seems happier this morning though so hopefully we are nearing the end of this thing. She's coughing but then again, I am still as well. I hope that it just doesn't get too bad.
Oh and for fun...here's a video of me singing in my basement. Yes...this is my basement...or one corner of it anyway. It makes for a good time with friends.
Hi. This is my first time in your blog and I was instantly inspired when I read your header. You are one blessed woman and your baby is indeed a miracle.
ReplyDeleteI also got pregnant too last April. It was my very first and sad to say, I lost it through miscarriage. I was devastated. When I found out that I was pregnant at 43 I know it was a miracle. But when I lost it, I know God has reason. I am still grieving but I am hopeful that one day I will have another miracle.
Your blog just inspired me to keep the faith. thanks
I am glad I could inspire you. That is what the intent of my blog is. You definitely should hold onto your faith. I too had a miscarriage after my second child. I went on to have two more healthy babies. Be strong. I do understand the sadness with a miscarriage.

ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to have a halloween party too. I always figure when I get a house, I will. I am sure you will have a ball.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for babying your baby. I would think anyone who had cancer while pregnant would too.
As for delays....she's a girl and girls are usually more advanced than boys, so she will probably be right on schedule with little boys. Try not to obsess about it.
Have fun at your party! Let us know how it goes!
